Natural language is the way to build software but teams are clueless
One of the biggest problems I have been facing as well as a lot of devs out there is the traditional git doesn’t work, how can I audit code that’s not even written by humans and blaming doesn’t work, previously we had to read through hundreds or max thousands of lines per PR but now it can exceed upto 20k lines or even more. I needed a way to understand code directionality of my codebases that are assisted with coding agents. This scaled up to multiple people in a team, it becomes increasingly difficult for figuring out whose coding agent is responsible for doing what.
I started building Atlas which is an open source variant of Obsidian but with coding agent capabilities. Documentation, Code Intelligence tools, Agents, Skills and MCP all built into a single platform but it also gives developers the flexibility to see what they have been doing with their coding agents and of course it’s all open source!
Just imagine the power of being able to query which are tracked by issues and organisational documentation, exactly who at what point changed what part of the codebase because everything is scrubbable over time and every code changes are reflectable, this is like git but designed for agents, you can even make these organisations public and publish to the world for both human and agents!!
